It is an integral part of our look and personality: our hair says a lot about us! And yet, without meaning to, we sometimes give it a hard time: we pull it, cut it, dye it, break it... Protecting our hair is not always an easy task! Even if all types of hair deserve to be pampered, curls tend to be more fragile and therefore require special attention. If you have curly or frizzy hair, find out which hair brush is best for your curls and what you need to do to take care of them.
What is the best hair brush for curly hair?
Detangling might be a dreaded step for some, but it's an essential part if you want to have shiny and revitalized hair. You might be surprised that detangling your hair can be particularly enjoyable and addictive! Designed to gently detangle and massage, the N°04 Miracle Detangling Hair Brush proves it. Thanks to its nylon fibers and its ball-shaped spikes, the N°04 hair brush easily gets into the thickest hair and leaves no knots in its path!
We strongly discourage you to brush your curly hair when it is dry: there is nothing better to destroy curls! Instead, we recommend that you brush your hair when it is wet, for instance in the evening before going to bed. This will not only allow your hair care products to circulate better, but also give your hair time to regain its natural shape. When you wake up, your hair will look great!
Don't use harsh, aggressive strokes - you need to be gentle with your hair! Start at the bottom and work your way up to the scalp: detangling is easier and more effective. No more broken hair!
If you have curly or frizzy hair, use a comb instead. With their wide teeth and cellulose acetate content, our Detangling Combs are particularly suitable for curly or frizzy hair and allow for gentle and precise detangling without pain.
There is a La Bonne Brosse hair brush or comb to suit all hair types. Take the time to explore our products for wavy, curly or frizzy hair and find the best hair brush for your curly hair.
How to take care of your curly hair?
To keep your hair healthy and shiny, it's important to do the right things when washing your hair. Contrary to what you might think, sebum has many benefits: it nourishes the hair and makes it stronger. There's no need to try and get rid of it! That's why we recommend washing hair type 3 or 4 no more than 2 to 3 times a week. Type 3 and 4 hair have even more trouble circulating sebum because of their wavy shape. To prevent it from becoming too dry, we recommend moisturizing it from time to time with hair oil or shea butter. And to dry your hair, nothing could be easier: just dab it gently with a clean cotton towel or T-shirt! As for how often you brush your hair, that depends on you. Some curly hair needs to be brushed every other day, others can be brushed less often. The important thing is to detangle at least after you have washed it.
The way you wash your hair can have a big impact on the condition of your curls, so don't neglect this step! Then, move on to gentle and conditioning detangling with our Miracle Brush N°04: the best hair brush for curly hair!
