Production Time:

Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your personalised engraving to be completed before your order is shipped.

Technique & Finish:

The acetate handle is delicately hand-carved, then enhanced with a meticulous application of gold pigments.

We use an oil-based paint free of petrochemical derivatives, which requires an extended drying time.

To preserve the brilliance of your engraving, we recommend minimising friction during the first uses.

As engraved items are personalised, they cannot be exchanged or refunded — unless they are faulty, in which case we invite you to contact our customer service via our contact form.

What are the dimensions of a brush?
+

Our brushes are available in two formats:

La Bonne Brosse measures 21 cm in length and weighs approximately 150 g. It features 11 rows of bristles, offering a generous brushing surface and an exceptional sensory experience.

La Petite Brosse measures 17 cm in length and weighs around 110 g, depending on the model. It includes 7 rows of bristles.

Its compact size makes it the perfect companion for daily touch-ups — it slips easily into your handbag and follows you wherever you go.

What is my hairbrush made of ?
+

Each Bonne Brosse is crafted with exceptional attention to detail, using high-quality, responsible materials sourced with care:

Handle: Made from biodegradable cellulose acetate, produced in France.

This noble, durable material is derived from 70% plant fibres (wood pulp and cotton) and sourced from the Jura region. It is entirely free of petrochemicals and fully biodegradable.

Boar bristles:

100% natural, organic fibres rich in keratin, responsibly sourced from Southeast Asia.

Boar bristles are uniquely anallergic, highly resilient, and naturally anti-static.

To date, there is no synthetic alternative that replicates their performance — we continue to work with industry partners to develop one, just as was done in the makeup brush sector a decade ago.

Being made entirely of keratin, these bristles have the unique ability to absorb sebum from the scalp and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft, enhancing shine and vitality.

Nylon fibres:

Ultra-fine, high-quality French nylon bristles, entirely vegan and among the most refined available on the market.

In models N.03 and N.04, each nylon bristle is topped with a hand-applied epoxy bead, offering a soothing and effective scalp massage.

Natural rubber cushion:

The comfort and efficiency of the brushing experience are intimately linked to the softness and “rebound” (shore level) of the rubber cushion supporting the bristles.

We’ve selected the most supple shore quality — offering a perfect balance of flexibility and bounce, ensuring a breakage-free, ultra-comfortable brushing experience that adapts naturally to the contours of the scalp and neck.

To learn more, we invite you to explore our dedicated materials page.

What are your combs made of ?
+

Our detangling comb is handcrafted in the Jura region of France and made from 100% cellulose acetate — a strong yet refined material.

While highly durable, your comb deserves care, just as it takes care of your hair.

Because cellulose acetate is a noble and gentle material, it may become fragile if dropped on hard surfaces such as tile floors or in the shower. We recommend handling it with care to preserve its beauty over time.

Whether your hair is thick or fine, straight or curly, this comb is perfectly suited for all hair types, making it an elegant and effective everyday essential.

How to care for your brush ?
+

A Bonne Brosse is a lifelong investment — take care of it as it takes care of you.

Here are a few simple tips to preserve its beauty and performance over time:

– If your brush is made with boar bristles, we recommend not immersing it in water or using soap to clean it (with the exception of our N.04 and N.07 models, which are made entirely of nylon and are water-friendly). That said, it is perfectly safe to use your boar bristle brush on damp hair.

– If your brush develops a slight scent, it is likely due to moisture on the boar bristles.

As a natural, hydrophobic fibre, boar hair resists water. This natural resistance may occasionally release a mild scent — but don’t worry, it will fade with a few uses.

– You can continue to use your brush on damp hair, but we advise gently towel-drying your hair first. This helps:

• to detangle more gently — the wetter the hair, the more elastic and fragile it becomes, increasing the risk of breakage

• to avoid saturating the boar bristles with moisture

After use on damp hair, allow your brush to air dry — ideally bristles facing down.

– We also recommend avoiding strong heat sources such as powerful hairdryers on our brushes that contain nylon fibres, as excessive heat can damage them.

If you're looking to achieve a blow-dry, we suggest our N.05 round brush, made entirely of boar bristles, for a smooth and natural result.

For more detailed care tips, feel free to consult our care guide here.

What should I do in case of head lice?
+

If this ever occurs, here’s what we recommend:

  • Remove any hair from your boar bristle brush
  • Clean the brush carefully by following our detailed care instructions [available here].
  • Place the brush in a freezer-safe bag, then into the freezer for 48 hours.

This method helps neutralise any potential lice or nits without compromising the integrity of your brush.

Comment se fait-il que les poils de sanglier de ma brosse ne soit pas tous de la même forme ?
+

Our brushes are made with high-quality natural boar bristles, which means each fiber varies slightly in thickness and resilience — this natural diversity is precisely what allows the bristles to grip and glide along each strand of hair, adapting to the unique texture of your hair.

The nylon fibers we've selected are exceptionally soft and gentle on the scalp, offering a soothing massage that stimulates microcirculation without irritation.

Combined with our expert feathering technique, this blend of flexibility and structure ensures highly effective brushing.

You may notice that some of the finer boar bristles shift slightly over time — this is entirely normal and does not affect the performance of your brush. On the contrary, it’s a sign that your brush is alive and working with your hair.

Thanks to our ultra-supple natural rubber cushion, each bristle is free to move and adjust during brushing, perfectly following the contours of your scalp.

If needed, the bristles will gradually return to their original shape, and you can gently guide them back into place with your fingertips.

Why do my hair become static after brushing?
+

Depending on your hair type, the friction caused by our exceptionally dense bristle placement — designed to catch and care for every strand — may sometimes generate static electricity.

This is a natural reaction, especially if the hair is dry or lacks moisture.

The good news is: the more you brush and care for your hair, the less frequent this effect should become over time.

In the meantime, we recommend lightly dampening your hands and running them through your hair just after brushing.

This simple gesture will immediately eliminate static, allowing you to continue enjoying the full benefits of your hairbrush — with no flyaways.

Where do the boar bristles come from?
+

We are committed to sourcing our materials responsibly and have made a conscious decision not to work with industrial or intensive farming operations.

Instead, we have chosen an upcycled supply chain — similar to that used for certain leathers.

Our partner collects the bristles from animals that were originally part of the local food supply chain in Southeast Asian farming communities.

These animals are not bred or slaughtered for their bristles, which is a key ethical point for us.

That said, as the bristle is still of animal origin, we want every customer to be able to choose a brush that aligns with their values and preferences.

This is why we have also developed vegan alternatives, such as our N.04 and N.07 brushes, crafted entirely with ultra-fine, high-performance nylon fibres — offering a cruelty-free option without compromising on quality.

All About Our Detangling Hair Spray
+

Our detangling mist features a lightweight formula enriched with advanced skincare-grade actives and revitalising botanical waters.

It gently detangles and naturally coats the hair, restoring volume without weighing it down.

Its slightly acidic pH and high concentration of antioxidant-rich plant nutrients help protect the hair fibre from daily stressors such as heat and pollution.

By tightening the hair cuticles, it enhances shine and leaves your hair visibly more luminous.

How to use it:

Spray the mist onto towel-dried hair, adjusting the quantity to suit your hair density:

6 to 8 sprays for fine or short hair

10 to 15 sprays for thick or long hair

Hold the bottle about 20 cm (8 inches) from your scalp and apply evenly through the lengths.

Can the detangling mist be used on dry hair?
+

Our detangling mist is best applied to towel-dried or damp hair, where it works gently and effectively — without the need to rinse.

It serves as a refined alternative to traditional conditioners, helping to detangle the hair while leaving it soft, smooth, and lightly fragranced.

That said, it can also be used on dry hair, particularly to soften strands, ease brushing, or add a touch of shine and fragrance between washes.

For best results, spray a few pumps onto the lengths and ends, then gently brush through with your Bonne Brosse.

How do I use the Hair Natural Serum and Repairing Mask together ?
+

Yes, the Hair Natural Serum and Repairing Mask can absolutely be used together, as they address distinct hair concerns.

Before shampooing, we recommend applying the Hair Natural Serum to your roots to help detoxify and rebalance your scalp,

while applying the Repairing Mask with hyaluronic acid to the lengths and ends, where it works to nourish and repair damaged fibres.

This targeted dual application offers a complete pre-shampoo ritual, restoring both scalp vitality and hair health.

Can I use the Hair Natural Serum and Repairing Mask at the same time?
+

Absolutely — the serum and mask can be used together, as they address different hair needs.

Before shampooing, apply the Hair Natural Serum to the roots to purify and detoxify the scalp,

while the Repairing Mask should be applied to the lengths and ends to deeply nourish and repair damaged hair fibres.

Used in tandem, they offer a complete pre-shampoo ritual for both scalp and hair health.

All About Our Hair Natural Serum
+

Hair health and beauty begin at the scalp.

Our detoxifying and strengthening hair natural serum is exceptionally rich in high-performance skincare actives with clinically proven efficacy.

It is specifically formulated to stimulate scalp vitality, densify the hair, and restore health and natural radiance to your hair.

Alcohol-free and enriched with pre-biotic complexes, our serum respects the scalp’s microbiome and supports a balanced, healthy hair ecosystem.

To promote long-term vitality, we recommend applying the serum before each shampoo.

For an intensive one-month treatment, apply once or twice a week, leaving it on overnight.

How often should I use the Hair Natural Serum?
+

The frequency of use depends entirely on your needs.

If your scalp feels particularly irritated, itchy, or prone to dandruff, don’t hesitate to use the serum before each shampoo.

Leave it on for 10 minutes or overnight, then rinse thoroughly before shampooing. In some cases, you may even need to shampoo twice to remove any residual serum.

For regular use, 6 to 7 sprays are enough — apply directly to the scalp and massage gently to ensure even coverage and proper absorption.

If your scalp doesn’t show any particular signs of imbalance, or once you feel things have improved, you can reduce the frequency to once a week.

This is ideal for maintaining your scalp’s microbial balance and overall hair health, especially with our silicone-free formula.

How do I use the Hair Natural Serum?
+

To promote the long-term vitality of your hair, apply the serum before each shampoo.

For an intensive one-month treatment, apply once or twice a week, leaving it on overnight.

Spray the serum directly onto the scalp, parting the hair as you go, using the precision spray applicator to evenly distribute the product at the roots.

Gently massage the scalp to create a light emulsion with the natural sebum — this helps to detoxify and enhance the penetration of the active ingredients*.

Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, or overnight for a more intensive treatment.

Then rinse thoroughly and follow with your usual shampoo.

Is the Cair natural shampoo suitable for all hair types ?
+

Absolutely. Our Cair care range is designed for all hair types, as it works to rebalance the entire scalp and hair ecosystem, rather than targeting a single concern — unlike many conventional formulas.

This is what makes it effective not only immediately, but also over the long term, supporting the overall health and resilience of your hair.

For this reason, we’ve chosen to develop a single, universal shampoo formula — a high-performance, sulfate-free and silicone-free treatment shampoo.

Thanks to its high concentration of active waters and their strong affinity with the hair fibre, it gently cleanses and naturally coats the hair, leaving no suffocating residue.

The result: hair that feels light, shiny, and deeply revitalised, wash after wash.

My shampoo doesn’t lather — is that normal ?
+

Yes — it’s completely normal for your first shampoo to lather less, especially if you’re using a gentle, natural formula like our Cair shampoo, which contains fewer foaming agents than traditional shampoos.

If you feel it isn’t lathering enough, feel free to shampoo a second time.

To optimise the experience:

– Make sure your hair is thoroughly soaked before applying the shampoo

– Use a sufficient amount of product, then emulsify it between your hands

– Apply first to the back of the scalp, then to the front, massaging gently

By following this ritual, your shampoo should lather beautifully, all while respecting your scalp and hair fibre.

How should I rinse my shampoo properly ?
+

We recommend emulsifying the shampoo in your hands before applying it, starting at the back of the scalp for optimal distribution.

Rinsing is a crucial — and often underestimated — step in your haircare routine.

It is essential to rinse thoroughly to remove all product residue.

As a general rule, you should spend at least twice as much time rinsing as you did washing to ensure your scalp and hair are perfectly clean and refreshed.

Why does this shampoo make my hair feel rough or squeaky?
+

Our sulfate-free, silicone-free shampoo is formulated with high-quality, naturally nourishing ingredients, including rice water known for its strengthening and softening properties.

If you’re transitioning from conventional shampoos that contain sulfates or silicones, your hair may initially feel rough or squeaky after rinsing.

This is actually a positive sign — it means your hair is truly clean, free from plastic and petrochemical residues often left behind by traditional formulas.

Our natural shampoo is also enriched with silk proteins, which help detangle the hair without weighing it down, unlike conventional conditioners.

To reduce the "squeaky" feeling and enhance the experience, we recommend:

Brushing your hair while dry before washing

– Ensuring a thorough rinse — spend at least twice the time rinsing as washing

– Doing a double shampoo if needed

– Applying a few extra sprays of our detangling mist to the lengths afterwards

Over time, your hair will regain its natural softness, bounce, and shine — free from buildup.

When should I use the Repairing Mask?
+

The Repairing Mask should be applied before shampooing, on slightly damp or dry hair, with particular focus on the lengths and ends.

For optimal results, we recommend using it once a week, and up to twice a week if your hair is very dry or damaged.

All About Our Repairing Hair Mask
+

Here are a few results we are proud to share:

After just one use, 91% of women report that their hair feels repaired and their cuticles smoothed.

Our pre-shampoo Repairing Mask is made with 93% naturally derived ingredients.

As with the rest of our range, it combines rice water with cutting-edge actives to deliver exceptional results.

Hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture deep within the hair fibre, preventing dehydration

Vitamin B8 (Biotin) strengthens the hair’s keratin structure and helps reduce hair loss

For optimal results, we recommend using the hyaluronic acid-based mask once a week, and up to twice a week if your hair is particularly dry or depleted.

How to use it:

Before shampooing, apply generously to dry or slightly damp hair.

Massage into the scalp and distribute through the hair, focusing on damaged areas and split ends.

Leave on for at least 20 minutes — no need to pause your routine!

Rinse thoroughly before following with a sulfate- and silicone-free Cair shampoo.

How does the silicone-free Repairing Hair Mask open the hair cuticles ?
+

What makes our high-performance Repairing Mask so unique is its precise action mechanism that allows it to work deep within the hair fibre.

Thanks to its pH level, which is slightly higher than that of the hair's natural pH, the formula gently lifts the cuticles, allowing the active ingredients to penetrate deeply and restore the hair from within.

The result? Hair that is intensely nourished, fortified, and visibly healthier — with long-lasting benefits.
